Role Reversal: Rapper Wale Addresses White Supremacy with “Sue Me”
In a world with bombarded by Barbecue Betty’s, Trump’s euphemisms mistaken identity and a collective generalized fear of Black folks, it would be hard to imagine a world where the roles of white supremacy were reversed. DC rapper Wale addresses that notion with his new video for the track “Sue Me”. Since systematic racism is embedded into America’s DNA , I admired Wale and director Kerby Jean Raymond had the guts to go there. It puts the idea of race into perspective to those who are naive to what Blacks and people of color endure on a daily basis. The aphorism, “If The Shoe Was The Other Foot “ is basically the theme of the video. Take a moment to watch the video below and comment your thoughts.
